CANTON, Ohio (AP) _ TimkenSteel Corp. (TMST) on Thursday reported a loss of $5.3 million in its first quarter.
The Canton, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents per share.
The maker of steel large bars and seamless mechanical tubing posted revenue of $309.4 million in the period.
TimkenSteel shares have increased slightly more than 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $15.70, a climb of 22 percent in the last 12 months.
