Tinder couple finally meet after 3 years
After being matched on Tinder nearly three years ago, Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec finally met in real life, and it's too cute for words. The two Kent State University students shared now-viral exchanges on the dating app over the course of three years but, despite studying on the same campus, had never actually met in person.

As of today, that has all changed - thanks to Good Morning America. “It’s been a crazy adventure” Arendas, 21, said of their modern love story. (This isn't surprising since Arendas didn't even know Avsec was sharing the tweet in the first place - “I didn’t even know Michelle’s last name until the day after I posted it and a friend of a friend commented and tagged her on it," he explained.)

After going viral, Tinder offered Arendas and Avsec a ~romantic vacation~ to a destination, any destination, of their choice. They chose Hawaii and met for the first time this morning before heading off on their flights.
While unconventional, this first meeting came with the same jitters others experience on a first date. “My butterflies have had butterflies," said Avsec. "I have been imploding since I arrived in New York. I just would walk around Times Square because I wanted to keep my mind busy. It’s been the most exciting ball of energy inside of me all week.”
With viral stardom and a trip to Hawaii on the horizon, the next step is a formal relationship, right? “We waited three years to send each other 10 messages so I think we need more than 30 minutes to be able to answer that question effectively,” said Arendas. “But I dunno, I guess we’ll see in the next few weeks.”
