This Tiny House Floats on Water and Was Built in Just 24 Hours
There's no denying it-tiny homes have taken over the world. They're being 3D printed by the day, splashed over social media, and have even begun to appear on our rooftops. Now, they're taking over one more element of our planet that we didn't think was possible-the water.
An Estonian design firm called Kodasema specializes in tiny minimalist and movable homes that come in four different designs: the Koda Concrete, Koda Light, Koda Light Extended, and now, Koda Light Float.
Created in collaboration with Top Marine, a marina designer, these tiny homes sit on pontoons so that they can float anywhere there's water. Even better, they can be built and ready for sea, ocean, lake or harbor in just 24 hours. The homes are constructed from glass, wood, and steel in a wood frame, and buyers can choose between timber and zinc cladding offered in a variety of colors.

Although they're tiny homes, they sure have a lot of space-each unit includes an open-spaced living room, full-sized sleeping area, a bathroom, kitchen, and wooden terrace in just 277 square feet.
Kodasema highlights the versatility of their modular housing concept-they say their home can become a harbor café, an artist’s studio, or even a summer home. Is this tiny home too tiny for you?
