Yahoo Finance is tracking Netflix, Blue Apron, BlackRock, Microsoft and Avis Car Rental in intraday trading on Monday.
Netflix (NFLX) – The streaming giant is set to report second quarter earnings after the market closes on Monday. The big number Wall Street will focus on is subscriber growth. Analysts expect Netflix to add 631,000 domestic and 2.6 million international subscribers. Wall Street is looking for earnings per share of 16 cents on revenue of $2.76 billion.
Blue Apron (APRN) – The stock is under pressure on news that Amazon filed a trademark application in June to get into the meal-kit business. The Times, which first reported the news on Sunday, says the service is described as “We do the prep. You be the chef” and includes frozen, prepared and packaged meals. Blue Apron has fallen nearly 34% since its public debit in June.
Microsoft (MSFT) – Credit Suisse lifted its price target on Microsoft by $4 to $84 while maintaining its outperform rating. Analyst Michael Nemeroff noted demand for Microsoft’s cloud service, Azure, as a catalyst for the stock. Shares of Microsoft are up about 17% since the start of the year.
BlackRock (BLK) – The financial firm reported a 9% rise in earnings during the second quarter, but its results missed Wall Street expectations. BlackRock posted earnings per share of $5.24 on revenue of $2.965 billion. Analysts were looking for EPS of $5.40 and sales of $3.019 billion.
Avis Car Rental (CAR) – The car rental company is teaming up with Amazon. Avis announced that customers can use Amazon’s voice assistant Alexis to book and manage car reservations. The service is expected to become available in August. Avis currently has 5,500 locations in 170 countries worldwide.
