The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.50 percent to close at 25,628.91, while the S&P 500 Index has gained 0.28 percent to close at 2,858.45. The Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 0.31 percent to close at 7,883.66.
Hussein Sayed, chief market strategist at FXTM said in a note “The strong earnings season has been the key factor lifting U.S. stocks,” he further added “However, as we get closer to the end of company announcements, the focus will return to trade frictions, geopolitics and the forthcoming U.S. midterm elections,”.
