"Oprah Goes Bigger – Buys Jeff Bridges Home"
Oprah Winfrey has purchased the home of Jeff Bridges, her next-door neighbor in Montecito, California. Oprah has owned another Montecito home since 2001 and has added more properties over the years now up to about 70 acres. Jeff's Spanish Revival-style home with three bedrooms and 3,517 square feet was priced at $8 million, but Oprah was able to get it for $6.85 million.

Joe Jonas and his new bride, Sophie Turner, spent $14.1 million for a new home about 15,000 square feet and ten bedrooms in L.A.'s Encino Hills. Joe's brother, Nick, and Nick's new wife, Pryianka Chopra, will be neighbors as they recently bought a nearby Encino home for $20 million. Nick's home is even bigger at about 20,000 square feet.
"U.S. Housing Starts Surge"
October new single-family housing starts in the United States surged to their highest levels since 2007 while future housing permits were also at a 12-year high. New home starts were up almost 4% to an annual rate of 1.31 million.

After 56 very active years on television, Regis Philbin and wife, Joy, are selling their much-loved Connecticut home asking $4.595 million. They have resided on the East Coast for decades, near the New York television studios, but want to move to California to be closer to their adult children.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently purchased a 46-acre Georgia farm for $9.5 million. Near Atlanta, the farm includes a newer home almost 14,800 square feet that was built in 2002, a 12-stall barn and a 150-year-old home now used for caretakers.

President Trump isn't the only billionaire moving to Florida. Several big-name billionaires are heading to the Sunshine State including Carl Icahn who will soon be moving his investment company from New York to Miami. Sales of Florida luxury condos and homes have been surging. The median sale price for Fort Lauderdale luxury homes rose 30% in the third quarter of 2019 to $2.1 million and prices in Miami Beach and Palm Beach hit record highs.

Jennifer Lawence bought her New York Upper East Side three-bedroom penthouse apartment with over 4,000 square feet in 2016 for $15.6 million and put it on the market earlier this year at $15.45 million. The apartment features good city and river views and lushly landscaped terraces. The Manhattan luxury real estate market has been in a slump recently; Jennifer's place is now reduced to $12 million.

Tiger Woods' ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, is trying to sell her Palm Beach home for $44.5 million, a reduction from her original $49.5 million asking price. It was ten years ago on Thanksgiving night in 2009 that Elin allegedly used a golf club to chase the Ambien-induced Tiger out of their Orlando home, and then crashed his Cadillac as he tried to escape. In 2011, Elin used money from her $100 million divorce settlement to buy the land on which her home was built.

Joe Pesci's longtime Jersey Shore home is for sale asking $6.5 million. Joe's home includes eight bedrooms and eight baths, Atlantic Ocean views, spa, boat dock and elevator. Built in 1990, the 7,200-square-foot contemporary with an Art Deco vibe is located in the West Point Island neighborhood protected from Atlantic storms on Barnegat Bay and only a short bicycle ride to the beach.

Mohamed Hadid, Gigi and Bella's dad, has been ordered by the city of Los Angeles to demolish a mansion he built without the proper permits. Hadid is also under fire from neighbors who claim the home construction has weakened their hillside. Hadid is also facing an FBI investigation for possible bribes.
