Top Rated NasdaqGS Financial Dividend Stocks

Brandie Wetzel

The fortunes of financial services companies often follow that of the broader economy. Firms in this sector offer services ranging from investment banking to consumer finance. Downturns can hit financial services companies hard as net interest margins shrink and credit losses grow. However, in good times, they report steady profits and many pay attractive dividends. Below is my list of huge dividend-paying stocks in the financial industry that continues to add value to my portfolio holdings.

Bridge Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:BDGE)

BDGE has a decent dividend yield of 2.74% and is paying out 88.46% of profits as dividends . Even though dividends per share have dropped over the last 10, I’d argue that this is tolerable given the fact that they haven’t missed a payment in this time, and dividend hunters are after reliability. The company also looks promising for it’s future growth, with analysts expecting an impressive doubling of earnings per share over the next year. More on Bridge Bancorp here.

They have been reliable as well, ensuring that shareholders haven’t missed a payment during this 10 year period. Republic Bancorp also looks promising for it’s growth over the next year, with analysts expecting a double digit earnings per share increase of 38.00%. More detail on Republic Bancorp here.
