TORONTO--(Marketwired - Jun 14, 2013) - Renaissance Hotels is a hotel brand known around the world for encouraging travelers to "Live Life to Discover." On Wednesday, June 19th, the brand's downtown Toronto luxury hotel, Renaissance Toronto Downtown, kicks off a "Summer of Discovery" and encourages guests to get out and discover something new all season long with an exclusive RLife LIVE event featuring Bronze Radio Return in the Arriba Lounge. The event will take place simultaneously with 155 Renaissance Hotels around the world, celebrating the lifestyle hotel brand's second annual "Global Day of Discovery."
Bronze Radio Return is an American indie / roots rock, revival rock sextet from Hartford, Connecticut. The band was formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Henderson after he attended the Hartt School of Music. Fellow Hartt School Alumni Rob Griffith (drums), Bob Tanen (bass) and Matt Warner (organ/keyboards/samples) help complete the line-up with Patrick (Packy) Fetkowitz (Lead Guitar) and Craig Struble (Harmonica, Banjo). The name Bronze Radio Return was inspired by an old radio Henderson grew up listening to in his father's art studio in Maine. Each of the band members are greatly influenced by the music they grew up listening to. "As a result, [the band] decided [they] wanted to pay a certain homage to their influences with the music that [they] would make together... the return of the bronze radio."
Each Renaissance Hotel will participate in the "Global Day of Discovery," inspiring more than 30,000 hotel guests to leave their hotel rooms and discover unforgettable moments through unexpected experiences created at the hotels including exclusive RLife LIVE events on site or unique offsite discoveries created by hotel NAVIGATORS.
The Renaissance Toronto Downtown offers downtown Toronto hotel suites conveniently located right in the middle of Toronto's Entertainment District. The hotel is also just steps from Toronto harbour and adjacent to the CN Tower and transit system. They can check out MLB's Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre stadium, or take a trip to the Eaton Centre for a day of shopping. After a busy day full of discovery, guests can head to their spacious and stylish guestroom, outfitted with comfortable bedding for a good night's sleep.
