JUPITER, Fla. (AP) _ Town Sports International Holdings Inc. (CLUB) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $601,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Jupiter, Florida-based company said it had net income of 2 cents.

The sports club operator posted revenue of $112.3 million in the period.

Town Sports shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $13.15, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
