Murrow brings deep market expertise to new role, core understanding of integrated TDS solutions and services to fuel growth year
Transaction Data Systems (TDS), the leader in pharmacy software solutions for the independent pharmacy for over 40 years, today announced the appointment of Russell Murrow as head of Solutions Management. In this role, Murrow will leverage his experience on both the data management and medication services side to ensure TDS pharmacies are able to realize business growth and connect with patients effectively.
"Pharmacists are facing unique challenges in today’s healthcare environment—everything from complex compliance standards to medication adherence. Russell has first-hand experience with our entire solutions portfolio and has been instrumental in our company growth these past few years," said Kevin Lathrop, TDS president and chief operating officer. "He understands our clients’ pain points, and we feel no one is better suited to build an TDS solutions strategy that puts their needs first."
As Transaction Data Systems continues to expand its solutions and services to encompass end-to-end success for independent pharmacists, this strategic move reinforces its commitment to customers’ needs and delivering superior products and support. Prior to his new role, Murrow served as TDS Vice President of Sales and Marketing for more than three years. Murrow also led sales and marketing at Computer-Rx, a TDS business line, for nearly a decade.
Transaction Data Systems encompasses three portfolio companies that span all aspects of clinical and operational management for Independent and Community pharmacies – including Rx30, Computer-Rx, and Enhanced Medication Services. Transaction Data Systems serves nearly half of all independent pharmacies, and plans to expand further in 2020, with an emphasis on innovation, client success, and support.
"More than ever before, pharmacists need to analyze data, communicate with patients, find ways to cut costs, and streamline pharmacy workflow – for a safer, patient focused care model," shares Murrow. "I’m honored to move into this new role and look forward to working closely with our clients to problem solve their biggest challenges successfully."
