DALLAS (AP) _ Transcontinental Realty Investors Inc. (TCI) on Monday reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Dallas-based company said it had profit of 37 cents per share.
The real estate investor posted revenue of $29.3 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported net income of $37,000, or 10 cents per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $118.5 million.
Transcontinental Realty shares have risen 50 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $17.98, a rise of 49 percent in the last 12 months.
