Trinity to use old West Fargo turbine plant to build containers for energy industry
WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Officials in West Fargo, N.D. say that the company that bought the old DMI wind turbine plant will use the facility to build 100,000-gallon storage vessels for energy industry products such as propane, water and anhydrous.
Some 40 people have been working for Dallas-based Trinity Containers in the plant for the past six weeks. The company plans to grow by more than 75 employees in the coming months.
Trinity's product lines include tanks for residential use and custom containers for a wide variety of products and applications.
West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern says the city's proximity to the oil patch and its transportation infrastructure are key components to the opportunity.
