Trinseo: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

BERWYN, Pa. (AP) _ Trinseo SA (TSE) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $900,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 23 cents per share.

The plastics and latex maker posted revenue of $1.07 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $292.5 million, or $6.70 per share. Revenue was reported as $4.62 billion.

Trinseo expects full-year earnings in the range of $5.80 to $7.43 per share.

Trinseo shares have increased roughly 10 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $50.20, a decline of 35 percent in the last 12 months.
