STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Tronox Holdings plc (TROX) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $32 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of 22 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and restructuring costs, came to 29 cents per share.
The producer of titanium ore and titanium dioxide posted revenue of $722 million in the period.
Tronox shares have dropped 40% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.89, a decline of 46% in the last 12 months.
