Trump’s tweet in support of Lahren came just days after the weekend brunch incident and shortly after she spoke out about it on “Fox & Friends.” But as many pointed out on Twitter, he never sent a tweet in support of James Shaw, the hero who stopped the Waffle House shooter. Four people were killed and several others injured in the attack in Tennessee last month, including Shaw, who grabbed the gun’s barrel, disarmed the shooter and chased him out of the restaurant ― an act credited with saving lives.
Trump was also blasted for failing to recognize victims of other headline-making incidents:
It took the White House 22 days to acknowledge Waffle House hero James Shaw, who stopped a shooter, unarmed, and then raised $250k for the victims.— Kaivan Shroff (@KaivanShroff) May 23, 2018
It took Trump 24 hours to personally acknowledge white supremacist Tomi Lahren for getting a drink thrown on her. pic.twitter.com/Xo6U2qOCFJ
Never forget that Trump never tweeted about James Shaw or Stephon Clark or the men who were arrested at Starbucks but he rapidly tweeted a full-throated defense of Tomi Lahren after she had a little water thrown at her in a restaurant.— Touré (@Toure) May 23, 2018

One of them is a HERO.
The other is a ZERO.
Can you guess which one @realDonaldTrump tweeted his support for? pic.twitter.com/as3IEuhz2t
Trump shows more support for Tomi Lahren having some water splashed at her than he does for dozens of schoolchildren gunned down in their own classrooms. One hateful blonde lady means more to him than our nation’s kids murdered in cold blood.— Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) May 23, 2018
It took Donald Trump less than a day to show support for Tomi Lahren who had a drink thrown at her arm...— Tony Posnanski (@tonyposnanski) May 23, 2018
It also took Donald Trump three weeks to show support for James Shaw Jr. who disarmed a mass shooter and saved lives...
I wonder why
It took less than 24 hours for Trump to tweet support for Roseanne's TV ratings, Kanye going full MAGA and Tomi Lahren getting a drink thrown at her.— Adam Best (@adamcbest) May 23, 2018
Trump never tweeted support for Waffle House hero James Shaw Jr., who disarmed a mass shooter with his bare hands.
Hmm, I wonder why Trump didn’t just throw a roll of paper towels to Tomi Lahren? 🤦♀️ pic.twitter.com/iQ0t9QcBN3— Linda Childers (@lindachilders1) May 23, 2018
