Does Keppel DC REIT's (SGX:AJBU) Share Price Gain of 65% Match Its Business Performance?

For example, the Keppel DC REIT (SGX:AJBU) share price is up 65% in the last three years, clearly besting the market return of around 3.1% (not including dividends). On the other hand, the returns haven't been quite so good recently, with shareholders up just 58% , including dividends . While the efficient markets hypothesis continues to be taught by some, it has been proven that markets are over-reactive dynamic systems, and investors are not always rational.

Read This Before Buying Middlesex Water Company (NASDAQ:MSEX) For Its Dividend

Dividend paying stocks like Middlesex Water Company (NASDAQ:MSEX) tend to be popular with investors, and for good reason - some research suggests a significant amount of all stock market returns come from reinvested dividends. If you are hoping to live on the income from dividends, it's important to be a lot more stringent with your investments than the average punter. While Middlesex Water's 1.5% dividend yield is not the highest, we think its lengthy payment history is quite interesting.

Kim Jong Un May Be Hiding a Hog Apocalypse From the World

Five wild boars were found dead in or near border areas separating the two countries this month before being tested positive for the viral hemorrhagic disease, officials in South Korea said. It also hints at a spillover of the deadly virus from North Korea, where unofficial reports indicate the disease is spreading out of control. South Korea has deployed helicopters to disinfect parts of the 250-kilometer-long border-barrier, near which more than a dozen outbreaks have occurred on farms since the virus was first reported there a month ago.

Billionaire hedge fund managers such as David Abrams, Steve Cohen and Stan Druckenmiller can generate millions or even billions of dollars every year by pinning down high-potential small-cap stocks and pouring cash into these candidates. Small-cap stocks are overlooked by most investors, brokerage houses, and financial services hubs, while the nearly unlimited research abilities of the big players within the hedge fund industry can easily identify the undervalued and high-potential stocks that reside the ignored corners of equity markets. There are numerous small-cap stocks that have turned out to be great winners, which is one of the main reasons the Insider Monkey team pays close attention to the hedge fund activity in relation to these stocks.

Charles Schwab senior exec speaks candidly about being among the latest layoffs

The Financial Women of San Francisco in June named Terri Kallsen as its 2019 Financial Woman of the Year, recognizing her work and mentoring of other women as executive vice president of investor services at Charles Schwab. In accepting the recognition Oct. 11 at the Financial Women's annual lunch to raise scholarship funds, Kallsen tackled her employment status head on. Schwab said Kallsen's position was eliminated as part of recent expense reductions that included cutting 600 jobs, or 3 percent of its workforce, as the brokerage adjusts to cost pressures, including lower interest rates.

Stock Outflows Largest in Decade Show Distress With Stocks Near Highs

Concerned about slowing global growth and the protracted U.S.-China trade war, investors pulled more money out of stock funds in 3Q 2019 than in any previous quarter since 2009, per analysis by Morningstar reported by The Wall Street Journal. This was a sharp reversal from the same period in 2018, when stock funds enjoyed net inflows of $20 billion. “Our contention is that there's going to be a disconnect between expectations and reality,” observes Lisa Shalett, chief investment officer (CIO) at Morgan Stanley's wealth management division, as quoted in another report by the Journal.

Why Trump's new trade truce with China is being hated on by Wall Street

The president quickly hyped a potential win in China buying $40 billion to $50 billion in agricultural products from struggling U.S. farmers. “It's not a game-changer,” UBS head of equities derivatives research Stuart Kaiser tells Yahoo Finance of the preliminary trade agreement, which isn't yet signed. Kaiser thinks if anything the trade truce sets a near-term floor in the stock market — but he nonetheless expects the S&P 500 to end 2019 at 2,550.

Did You Manage To Avoid Cincinnati Bell's (NYSE:CBB) Devastating 78% Share Price Drop?

Because Cincinnati Bell is loss-making, we think the market is probably more focussed on revenue and revenue growth, at least for now. When a company doesn't make profits, we'd generally expect to see good revenue growth. Some companies are willing to postpone profitability to grow revenue faster, but in that case one does expect good top-line growth.

Exclusive: No choice but to invest in oil, Shell CEO says

Royal Dutch Shell still sees abundant opportunity to make money from oil and gas in coming decades even as investors and governments increase pressure on energy companies over climate change, its chief executive said.     But in an interview with Reuters, Ben van Beurden expressed concern that some shareholders could abandon the world's second-largest listed energy company due partly to what he called the "demonisation" of oil and gas and "unjustified" worries that its business model was unsustainable. Shell, which supplies around 3% of the world's energy, set out in 2017 a plan to halve the intensity of its greenhouse emissions by the middle of the century, based in large part on building one of the world's biggest power businesses.

MarketWatch reported that Pritchard also initiated “buy” ratings on Ping Identity (PING) and Okta (OKTA).
