Trump talks to Postmaster General about Amazon, plus a retail wrap-up and royal wedding preview

Looks like we are going to close out the week with modest loses. The 10-year yield is still above 3%, and crude is staying above $70. If you’re looking for a winner this week, the energy sector is the top performer, up 2.7%.

Winners and Losers

Let’s take a look at some of today’s winners and losers. Stocks in the red include Campbell Soup, as the stock plummets with news that the CEO is retiring. The company also lowered its full-year forecast and announced a review of its strategic plans and portfolio composition; Mattel, as the toy company recently rejected a merger proposal from Bratz doll maker MGA Entertainment; and AstraZeneca, as a result of generic competition to its cholesterol fighter, Crestor, and higher costs hit the bio-pharmaceutical.

Stocks in the green include Deere, as market conditions improved boosting sales of its farm and construction equipment; Yelp, after B. Riley FBR analysts upgraded the stock to Buy from Neutral as a result of the company’s restaurant engagement and a big opportunity in home service; and PayPal, as the online payment company announced that its acquiring iZettle, a European competitor of Square, for $2.2 billion.
