Trust Me—Buy These 23 Things

Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour

Trust Me—Buy This is a monthly series where our market editor, Nicole Eshaghpour, makes her favorite real-life fashion finds shoppable for Who What Wear readers.

In case you’re new to this, today I’ll be rounding up my favorite items of the moment with more of a personal spin than your usual shopping story. These special selects are the pieces I’ve been loving not only online but IRL too. With a little help from my shopping-focused Instagram account, @trustmebuythis, where I share my own snaps of items I’m into at the moment, I get to both show and tell you what I’m really wearing this month.

So what's on the docket today? All things spring! From outfits to accessories, expect a mix of trends, classics, new pieces, repeat offenders, a few too many shoes, and, of course, a mix of high-end investment pieces and budget-friendly steals I think you’ll love. Ready to shop? Simply scroll down to see and read about my picks.

I love this outfit for a few reasons but mostly because it signals that spring is here! But really, I'm all for an easy matching set, and the white mules are a great departure from black.

Shop the outfit:

Wilfred Ourson Jacket ($210)

Shop the matching Genny Pants ($138).

Shop the mules:

Paige Epic in White Leather ($295)

Remember when I got all excited about the black-and-white trend? I'm still going. This sweater from Pixie Market is an easy way to make my usual denim look just a little more interesting while still keeping it simple. Sadly, it's sold out, but I've found a similar style for you below.

Shop a similar sweater:

Staud Cargo Sweater ($145)

I don't think my personal bias could possibly be the only reason I think these Who What Wear collection mules are beyond amazing. I mean, look at them! And at $35, you don't necessarily need to make the impossible choice between black and nude.

Shop the shoes:

Who What Wear Danielle Vinyl Heeled Mules ($35)

Who What Wear Danielle Vinyl Heeled Mules ($35)

Two transitional weather–ready pieces I've been wearing on repeat lately are this Aritzia jacket (which I got last year and couldn't wait to bring back) and these Bldwn shiny leather pants. They're both just cooler versions of essentials and make for a pretty great combo.

Shop the jacket:

Wilfred Dree Alyona Jacket ($198)

Shop the pants:

Bldwn The Parker Leather Pant in Black ($598)

The number of times I've used this cardigan since getting it has actually shocked me. It has a cute, single button and is cut similar to a blazer, so it is perfect for wearing for work or on the weekend layered over a turtleneck or tee.

Shop the cardigan:

Maje J Striped Cotton-Blend Cardigan ($445)

Shop the turtleneck:

Wilfred Huet T-Shirt ($58)

Pretty sure these shoes speak for themselves.

Shop the shoes:

LPA Sofi Heel ($198)

I recently invested in this miniskirt and have a feeling it's going to serve me very well over the next few years. It's definitely classic, but the belt makes it feel like more of a fashion piece than a basic. The shoes are a pair of Manolo slingbacks I stole from my mom a few years ago, and they go perfectly with pretty much any outfit.

Shop the blazer:

Balenciaga Hourglass Prince of Wales-Check Blazer ($2790)

Shop the top:

Goldsign The Rib Stretch Cotton-Blend Jersey Top ($180)

Shop the skirt:

Prada Belted Tech-Jersey Mini Skirt ($920)

Shop the shoes:

Manolo Blahnik Carolyne Suede Slingbacks ($695)

One of my tricks when it comes to party dressing is to just keep accessorizing black dresses in different ways. Here, I paired a simple (but amazing) slip dress with a crystal belt and velvet, crystal-embellished bag.

Shop the dress:

Silk Laundry Long Bias Cut Dress ($241)

Shop the bag:

Ca & Lou Embellished Drawstring Clutch ($260)

Shop the belt:

B-Low the Belt Farah Belt ($158)

Okay, I have to admit—I haven't bought these sandals yet, but I really want to. I feel like once the weather in NYC turns sandal-appropriate, they could be my go-to everything sandals. I think it's because they remind me of my beloved Western boots but in spring-ready form.

Shop the sandals:

Toga Buckle Strap Sandals ($460)

Speaking of Western things, how could anyone not be absolutely delighted by a pair of jeans that have a built-in Western belt?

Shop the jeans:

Paige Hoxton Ankle Peg ($240)

Have you gotten on board with shackets yet? They're great. This one is a Proenza Schouler find I got on sale, but since there are only a few left, I've also found a similar and more affordable style below.

Shop the jacket:

Proenza Schouler Button-Front Crewneck Boucle Suiting Cropped Jacket ($696)

Shop a similar jacket:

Pixie Market Black Crop Blazer ($128)

Shop the jeans:

Agolde Pinch Waist High Rise Kick Jeans ($178)

Shop the bag:

Carolina Santo Domingo Bangle Satin and Acrylic Tote ($800)

Up next? How to dress for transitional weather without buying anything new.
