Said WildTurtle of the transfer, “I’ve spent most of my career on TSM now and I’m extremely thankful for all the experiences I’ve had with Andy and the rest of the team. I’m really going to miss playing with everyone and within such a motivated environment. At the same time, I’m looking forward to this next split and to be moving onto another stage of my career with my old teammates Hai, Lemon, and Balls. I think FlyQuest will be a good home for me, and I hope continue my success with them.”
WildTurtle stepped back into his role on TSM at the beginning of the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split, when Doublelift chose to step down for a split to stream and take a break from competitive play. He and TSM took first place in the split and were eventually knocked out of the Mid-Season Invitational after the Group Stages.
Doublelift returned to the LCS for a few weeks during the Spring Split, but on Team Liquid to help them re-qualify for the NA LCS. After the Mid-Season Invitational, TSM wasted no time announcing his return, stating that they’d be playing with a six-man roster and swapping between Doublelift and WildTurtle.
Interestingly, the announcement from TSM states that the team is still looking to field a six-man roster, and that tryouts will be held for a new AD carry to join the team.
