Tsu Invites Users to New Social Network Experience, One that Pays

A new social media website, Tsu, recently launched, and the company is sharing their revenues with users for creating content that other users engage

Los Angeles, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 12, 2014 / Tsu is a new social networking website that is paying users to create content that engages other users and for inviting people to join the network. Tsu believes that this is the right thing to do. That is why company executives have committed to sharing 90 percent of the social revenues back with its users, keeping only 10 percent for themselves.

"Two billion people create social content and get nothing for it," said the company's spokesperson. "It's your content and your audience, and you should own it."

The solution, according to the tsu website, tsu.co, is give every user the ability to onboard their own audience through tsu invitations. This, in turn, removes tsu as the middleman, and it frees people to connect via each member's own short code URL. This is what tsu sees as the door to their network.

"To join tsu, people can be invited or join through another member's short code or they can get their own member short code by signing up," said the company's spokesperson. "It is invitation only, but users can sign up for a limited time only. For more information, please visit: http://tsu.co/getting_started."

The company's founder, Sabastian Sobczak, said that the activity of social networks of today would be akin to radio stations not paying royalties to musicians. He is a firm believer in the idea that content creators should partake in the financial gain that their content is creating.

According to the company's website, three key components differentiate them from other social networks: ownership, access and empowerment.

Sobczak said that real ownership only exists when users own the rights to their content and the economics that come with it. He added that their model is global, scalable, and designed to empower the user.

To help start it up, the New-York-based company, which launched in early November, had a 7 million dollar investment led by Sancus Capital Prive.

Additionally, some celebrities are throwing their support behind tsu by starting to use the social network.
