Tutor Perini (TPC) Surpasses Q2 Earnings Estimates

Tutor Perini (TPC) just came out with quarterly earnings of $0.49 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.23 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.59 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 113.04%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this construction company would post earnings of $0.23 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.01, delivering a surprise of -95.65%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Tutor Perini, which belongs to the Zacks Building Products - Heavy Construction industry, posted revenues of $1.12 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 3.99%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $1.25 billion. The company has not been able to beat consensus revenue estimates over the last four quarters.
