Your TV To-Do List: 'Weekend Update' hits primetime

With so much to watch on TV it can be difficult to plan ahead. But we’re here to help! Here are the five shows you won’t want to miss this week.

The Bachelorette: Monday, Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. on ABC
It’s that time, rose lovers! Time to see which dude the regal Rachel has decided is worthy of her affections. Although, we at home already know the answer: none of them.

Difficult People: Tuesday, Aug. 8 on Hulu
It’s been a long (too long) wait for fresh episodes of Julie Klausner’s tart-tongued New York comedy, but she and co-star Billy Eichner reward us for our patience with a special 90-minute season premiere. Here’s hoping the show wastes little time introducing us to Billy’s new romantic mate: the one and only John Cho.

Mr. Mercedes: Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. on Audience
Fill in the month-long gap between the Stephen King-based feature films The Dark Tower (now playing in theaters) and IT (opening Sept. 8) with David E. Kelly’s 10-episode adaptation of the horror master’s 2014 detective yarn.

Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Summer Edition: Thursday, Aug. 10 at 9 p.m. on NBC
With Sean Spicer gone from the White House stage, SNL‘s eagerly anticipated primetime edition would seem to have lost one of its marquee guest stars. Although we bet that Melissa McCarthy could do a killer Stephen Miller impression.

Orphan Black: Saturday, Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. on BBC America
After five wild seasons, the Clone Club hosts its final meeting. The good news is that that Clone Dance after-party is gonna be epic.
