Will Twitter be introducing shopping services?

A handful of Twitter (TWTR) users have noticed a new setting for "payment and shipping" within the company's Android (GOOGL) app, according to TheNextWeb.com. The option cannot be activated or opened at this time, but can be found inside the settings menu.

It is not clear how Twitter plans on using this feature or when it will become available to users.

There have been rumors that the social media company has been working on a deal with payments provider Stripe, according to The Next Web.

This foray into e-commerce could increase Twitter's revenue and would encourage brands to get involved with the service.
