In amongst a hell-of-a-lot of hats arriving at Windsor Castle on Saturday morning ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, guess who else was spotted? No less than two of Prince Harry's ex-girlfriends.

Cressida Bonas and Chelsea Davy were both among the 3,000 guests invited to the Royal Wedding, but was it a weird move for the Prince to invite his former loves to his big day? Not really, as it turns out.

According to People, it's not unusual for royals to invite their exes to their weddings - especially when they've remained friends, which Harry (who's now known as the Duke of Sussex) has done with both Chelsea and Cressida.

Prince William invited five (five!) ex-girlfriends to his wedding to Kate Middleton and Prince Charles invited two exes to his wedding to Diana. One was his now-wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and the other was Diana's sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, who he also dated.

Meghan was reportedly more than happy to welcome both Chelsea and Cressida to the couple's wedding ceremony. Prince Harry dated Chelsea Davy on-and-off for seven years. His first serious girlfriend, the pair finally ended their relationship back in 2011. After having studied law at Leeds University, it's now reported that Chelsea works for ethically-sourced jewellery company, Aya Africa, in her native Zambia.

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas dated for two years, between 2012 and 2014. Cressida, the granddaughter of Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe, is an actress.

Other surprising guests at the wedding include Idris Elba, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hardy and Chloe Madeley.
