Tyra Banks shares rare photo of baby son and causes social media frenzy
Back in January 2016, Tyra Banks shocked us all when she announced that she and her partner, Erik Asla, were now mum and dad to a bouncing baby boy, who they welcomed via a surrogate.
The supermodel announced York’s arrival with a photo of a baby hat and has since shared just two photos of her son, both when he was a newborn.
However, Tyra decided to treat her fans to an updated pic of York in honour of Father’s Day yesterday, with the star sparking a social media frenzy when she shared a full photo of the 18-month-old tot – who looks exactly like her.
Little York’s striking eyes caught the most attention of Tyra’s followers, with many quipping that the America’s Next Top Model host had already taught her son how to do the perfect ‘smize’.
One fan wrote: “How did you teach that boy to smize already?”
Others added: “I see those fierce eyes, like mother like son.”
“He is beautiful, looks just like you – I knew his eyes would be blue!!!!”
“HOW IS HE A MODEL ALREADY?!”
Tyra captioned the gorgeous photo with: “To all the amazing daddies out there that love their kids unconditionally like my mommy’s daddy and my daddy, too… HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! – York”.
Tyra had previously admitted that her son had inherited her famous eyes, writing when she first announced his arrival: “The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here.
“He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone.
“York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”
