U.S. Treasury's Yellen holds call with Saudi finance minister

WASHINGTON, Feb 17 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary JanetYellen and Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan discussedthe coronavirus pandemic and other issues during a call onWednesday, the U.S. Treasury Department said.

Yellen "emphasized the need to address the dauntingchallenges of ending the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting theglobal economic recovery, fighting income inequality, andforcefully addressing the threat of climate change," theTreasury said in a statement.(Reporting by Eric Beech; Writing by Mohammad Zargham; Editingby Leslie Adler)
