Source: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, information as of 06:00 on 6 July

Details: On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces fired on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas around Zaliznyi Mist (Chernihiv Oblast) and Shalyhyne and Esman (Sumy Oblast). They carried out combat engineering tasks to reinforce their front in border areas.

Russian forces are conducting defence operations on the Kharkiv front and used helicopters, tanks, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the areas around Sosnivka, Saltine, Mala Danylivka, Cherkaski Tyshky, Vesele, Kutuzivka, Mospanove, Husarivka, Chepil and Nova Mykolaivka.

Russian occupation forces conducted remote mining of the territory in the vicinity of Shestakove and Peremoha.

Russian troops are attempting to improve their tactical positions on the Sloviansk front and have fired on the area near Krasnopillia and Bohorodychne using mortars and gun and rocket artillery.

Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled a Russian assault operation and pushed the Russian occupying forces back near Dolyna. Fighting continues near Mazanivka, where the Russians are attempting another assault operation.

On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas around Siversk and Hryhorivka. Ukrainian troops inflicted significant losses on the Russians during their attempt to advance in the direction of Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka, forcing the occupying forces to retreat.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian occupying forces used various calibres of artillery to fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Berestove, Bilohorivka, Travneve, Shumy, and New-York and conducted an airstrike near the Vuhlehirska Thermal Power Plant. Artillery-supported units of Russian troops attempted to storm the area of Novoluhanske but were unsuccessful and retreated. Ukrainian Defence Forces stopped a Russian assault on Spirne and repelled an attack near Vershyna, inflicting losses on the Russian occupying forces and pushing them back. The Russian forces are attempting to regroup.

Russian forces are mounting an offensive in the Luhanske area, where fighting continues.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian troops are firing on the Ukrainian forces along the entire line of contact using mortars and gun and rocket artillery. The Russians conducted airstrikes near Avdiivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian occupying forces fired artillery on the areas around Trudoliubivka, Kniazivka, Mykolaivka, Topolyne, Kobzartsi, Blahodatne, Shevchenkove and Lupareve and continued to conduct missile strikes on Mykolaiv Oblast. The threat of missile and artillery attacks on this front remains.

Four Russian naval high-precision missile carriers are on standby in the waters of the Black Sea.

Ukrainian troops decisively repelled a Russian attempt to advance towards Lozove [there are several villages with that name in different oblasts of Ukraine and the General Staff does not clarify which one this refers to, but it appears that this is the village of Lozove in Kherson Oblast, on the administrative border with Mykolaiv Oblast - ed.]. Russia is continuing to implement measures to replenish its losses.
