  • Arie Luyendyk Jr. is out here using the breast milk of his wife, Lauren Burnham, to cure his pink eye.
  • Yes—really!

Ah, conjunctivitis. Also known as good ol’ pink eye. Most people have their brush with the pink eye bacterial virus at least once in their life (if they’re unlucky enough). Hell, you were probably a little kid in elementary school and hoped to get it so you could stay home for a few days, but grown people get pink eye too, in case you were wondering! Case in point: The Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr., who recently contracted the virus....and is now turning to—wait for it—his wife’s breast milk to cure the infection. Yes, you read that correctly.

On Instagram Stories yesterday, Arie took his fans through the entire process of him and his wife, Lauren Burnham, getting her breast milk into his eye. “Sensitive subject. I don’t know if I have pink eye, but my eye is red [and] Lauren said that breast milk is actually a remedy for that,” Arie said in the video. “I looked online, and it actually does say that. I’m all about the home remedies, so Lauren’s going to pour this in my eye.”

Unsurprisingly, Lauren really didn’t want Arie to go through with it. That’s precious breast milk he’s low-key stealing from Alessi, their baby girl! “I tried to talk him out of it. It says for kids and babies, but he’s convinced,” she said. Basically, here’s what happened in three snaps:

While using a tablespoon to pour the milk into Arie’s eye, Lauren messed up (because who can accurately pour something into someone’s eye while filming, let’s be real!) and stabbed Arie in the eye instead. Lauren gets the breast milk all over Arie’s face, and honestly, I’m not quite sure if this is the content I signed up to see on Instagram dot com.

Welp, in the event that Arie’s pink eye isn’t miraculously cured, he can always turn to antibiotics to cure his eye—no milk necessary!
