Sami Signage was named after a woman called Sami who was kidnapped and killed by someone posing as an Uber driver. This tragedy was also the inspiration for Sami's Law, which introduced stringent verification standards for rideshare apps, ensuring that riders know they're getting into the right car before they open the doors of the car.

This is the idea that Sami Signage is built upon. Sami Signage elevates rideshare in several ways

Sami Signage was designed to advance the rideshare industry with a variety of new functions. The primary function is rideshare verification. Drivers arrive displaying the rideshare company's logo along with a Rider Logo. A Rider Logo is a custom image, number, or name created and uploaded by the rider. This allows riders to verify their ride from outside the car without ever opening the door. "Sami Signage was built on the pillars of safety and accessibility. After the driver verifies the passenger's identity on the app, then a media logo can replace the Rider Logo and the sign can be used for mobile advertising, adding to the income of the business and the driver. If either party feels unsafe or experiences an emergency, they can change the sign to show that help is needed to alert bystanders or police to the situation. This is another way that Sami Signage aims to prevent kidnappings, even among verified drivers and riders. The signage also helps law enforcement and airport security to verify authorizations by displaying valid authorization numbers in green and expired numbers in red.
