United Hunter Oil & Gas Corp. Shareholder Meeting Results and Director Appointment
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec 11, 2012) - United Hunter Oil & Gas Corp. (TSX VENTURE:UHO) (the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that Arthur Halleran, Tim Turner, David Birkenshaw and Daniel Bloch were elected to the Corporation''s Board of Directors at the annual and special meeting of the Corporation''s shareholders held on December 10, 2012 (the "Meeting").
Ernie Pratt not being nominated for re-election at the Meeting will no longer serve as a member of the Corporation''s Board of Directors. The Chief Executive Officer and Director Arthur Halleran commented that "the Corporation is most thankful for the hard work and contributions made by Ernie over the years and wishes him much success in the future."
At the Meeting the Corporation''s shareholders also re-appointed COLLINS BARROW TORONTO LLP as the auditors of the Corporation, and passed, without variation, a resolution approving the Corporation''s stock option plan, all as more particularly disclosed in the Corporation''s management information circular dated November 7, 2012 (the "Information Circular"). The proposed resolution for the consolidation of the Corporation''s common shares, as more particularly disclosed in the Information Circular, did not receive necessary shareholder approval and therefore did not pass.
Additionally, the Corporation is pleased to announce that Mr. Parvez Tyab was appointed as a director of the Corporation. Mr. Tyab has over 20 years of experience as a financier and corporate executive and has served as an officer and director for a number of public and private companies. Mr. Tyab has been involved in the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties and natural resource projects in Canada, the United States as well as internationally with an emphasis on Africa.
