United Parcel Service (UPS) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.13 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.04 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.96 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 104.81%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this package delivery service would post earnings of $1.21 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.15, delivering a surprise of -4.96%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.
UPS, which belongs to the Zacks Transportation - Air Freight and Cargo industry, posted revenues of $20.46 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 17.96%.
