Universal Display posts 4Q profit

EWING, N.J. (AP) _ Universal Display Corp. (OLED) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $25.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Ewing, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 55 cents.

The organic light-emitting diode technology company posted revenue of $74.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $48.1 million, or $1.02 per share. Revenue was reported as $198.9 million.

Universal Display expects full-year revenue in the range of $230 million to $250 million.

Universal Display shares have climbed 20 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $67.45, a climb of 39 percent in the last 12 months.
