FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ Universal Insurance Holdings Inc. (UVE) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $13.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company said it had profit of 38 cents.
The property and casualty insurance company posted revenue of $178.6 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $99.4 million, or $2.79 per share. Revenue was reported as $685.3 million.
Universal Insurance shares have declined almost 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $26.15, a rise of 39 percent in the last 12 months.
