The University of Kansas Hospital Selects A10 Networks Application Delivery Controllers to Deploy Microsoft Exchange

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 10, 2014) - A10 Networks, a technology leader in Application Networking, today announced that The University of Kansas Hospital, a leading academic hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, selected A10's Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) to deploy Microsoft Exchange across its network. KU Hospital's network infrastructure includes two data centers that support approximately 5,500 employees in 50 locations.

To maintain its growing infrastructure and prepare for its new large-scale Microsoft Exchange deployment, The University of Kansas Hospital decided to replace its incumbent vendor's ADCs with A10 to increase performance and scalability with new hardware and software, and to add flexibility with virtualization for multi-tenancy with Application Delivery Partitions (ADPs).

"We chose A10 Networks for our Microsoft Exchange deployment because of their performance and scalability, but more importantly because their ADCs were more flexible and energy efficient than any competing solution we evaluated. KU Hospital selected A10's AX 3200-12s, which are mid-range ADCs that include 10 Gb ports, Flexible Traffic Acceleration technology for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation, additional security functionality and high-performance SSL offload. The AX 3200-12s have increased efficiency with system virtualization to create up to 128 ADPs for multi-tenancy, so that the hospital can support more users and applications on existing equipment. A10 is a clear green networking choice, saving the hospital 30 percent of rack space and reducing energy costs.
