Uptick Newswire Features Quantum Materials Corp. to Discuss Their Advancements with Quantum Dots and Their Recent Production and Licensing Deal

SAN MARCOS, TX / ACCESSWIRE / November 27, 2018 / Uptick Newswire featured Quantum Materials Corp. (OTCQB: QTMM), a leading American cadmium-free quantum dot and nanomaterials manufacturer, on their Stock Day Podcast to discuss the Company's growing applications of their latest technology. Chairman and CEO, Stephen Squires, joined host Everett Jolly to provide insight on their most recent quantum dot advancements, as well as upcoming plans for the Company.

Jolly began the interview by asking Squires to provide background on himself and the Company. Squires explained that although always having been an entrepreneur, his background revolves around advanced materials in the aerospace field. Now his focus has shifted to the cutting-edge technology offered by quantum dots.

Jolly then asked Squires to elaborate on quantum dots and inquired about his plans for marketing this technology going forward. Squires explained, "Quantum dots are basically atomic crystals. They are a semiconductor material, that allows you to manipulate light very efficiently. They don't work as a filter, but rather as a converter." Squires explained that the Company has actually been able to make this technology more environmentally friendly and appropriate for consumer products by eliminating the use of cadmium.

Squires shared that the Quantum dots represent the next generation of device displays. For example, mobile devices, televisions, and nearly everything with a similar type of displayrequires one of several types of color rendering technologies to function properly, and Quantum dots offer increased color quality in a safer way.

Squires further explained that the Company has also created a more cost-effective way for industries to utilize this technology and added, "This is really a breakthrough."

Currently, the few companies that have been able to incorporate quantum dots into their displays have done so through the use of an expensive film. Squires explained that the high cost of this film is further exaggerated by the expense of the quantum dots that are needed to make this method work. However, Squires stated that Quantum Materials Corp. has developed a way to use quantum dots without the need for the film, while also reducing the amount of these crystals that are needed. This makes their application of the product much more affordable.

Squires continued, "We're talking about 50%-80% less cost to implement than what the current technology is." Meanwhile, the technology also offers higher performance and a reduced environmental impact.

Jolly then asked Squires to share the current state of the Company. Squires responded, "The Company has recently signed and announced a licensing agreement with a company that is establishing quantum dot production in Assam, India. Their focus is going to be producing quantum dots, and they have also licensed our quantum dot solar cell technology." Squires explained that this area of technology is extremely well-valued in India and shared the solar applications of quantum dots and the benefits they offer to this industry.

Squires closed by adding that an advanced materials company may take longer to get into the market, but once they do it can turn into a steadily growing long-term investment.
