BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ US Ecology Inc. (ECOL) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Boise, Idaho-based company said it had net income of 23 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 38 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 38 cents per share.
The radioactive and hazardous waste services company posted revenue of $126.1 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $129.3 million.
US Ecology expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.69 to $1.93 per share.
US Ecology shares have increased roughly 10 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $53.90, a climb of 11 percent in the last 12 months.
