COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) _ Vectrus Inc. (VEC) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $7.6 million.
The Colorado Springs, Colorado-based company said it had profit of 66 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 74 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 72 cents per share.
The government services company posted revenue of $331.6 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $325.8 million.
Vectrus expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.06 to $3.29 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.37 billion to $1.39 billion.
Vectrus shares have increased 75% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $37.72, an increase of 22% in the last 12 months.
