JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) _ Verisk Analytics Inc. (VRSK) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $109.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Jersey City, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of 64 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 80 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 77 cents per share.
The insurance data provider posted revenue of $506.1 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $506.5 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $591.2 million, or $3.45 per share. Revenue was reported as $2 billion.
Verisk shares have risen 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $85.19, a rise of 24 percent in the last 12 months.
