DALLAS (AP) _ Veritex Holdings Inc. (VBTX) on Monday reported third-quarter earnings of $8.9 million.
The bank, based in Dallas, said it had earnings of 36 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 34 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 46 cents per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $40.3 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $31.7 million, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $30.5 million.
Veritex Holdings shares have dropped 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $24.49, a fall of nearly 10 percent in the last 12 months.
