DALLAS (AP) _ Veritex Holdings Inc. (VBTX) on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $27.4 million.
The bank, based in Dallas, said it had earnings of 51 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 53 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 52 cents per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $104.1 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $79.3 million, which fell short of Street forecasts.
Veritex Holdings shares have climbed 18% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $25.32, a fall of almost 1% in the last 12 months.
