VIA Motors to Present Holographic Conversation With Thomas Edison at the Detroit Auto Show

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwire - Jan 8, 2013) - VIA Motors announced today that it will bring American icon Thomas Edison to life in a historic holographic presentation with Bob Lutz, father of the Chevy Volt, at the North American International Auto Show. The holographic presentation titled "A Conversation with Thomas Edison" will be presented during VIA Motors' press conference on January 14, 2013 at 4:00pm at the Cobo Center in Detroit.

In the presentation, a stunningly life-like hologram of Thomas Edison will engage in a thought provoking interactive conversation with Lutz about the future of the electric vehicle. Edison is widely known for the invention of the electric light, the telegraph, sound recording, motion pictures and over one thousand other patents including the nickel iron battery used in electric vehicles.

Edison achieved all this largely by perseverance stating, "Genius is 99 percent perspiration and one percent inspiration." Edison believed that the electric vehicle would ultimately dominate the roads utilizing the inexhaustible supply of electricity available in nature. The program will also be available on demand at VIA's website (www.viamotors.com) after the show.
