SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (AP) _ Village Super Market Inc. (VLGEA) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $6.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Springfield, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of 43 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 41 cents per share.
The supermarket chain posted revenue of $401.6 million in the period.
Village Super Market shares have increased 11 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased nearly 7 percent in the last 12 months.
