The Lehi, Utah-based company said it had profit of 18 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 41 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 42 cents per share.
The residential solar energy system company posted revenue of $41.8 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $18 million, or 16 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $135.2 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $2.75. A year ago, they were trading at $3.62.
