CAMPBELL, Calif. (AP) _ Vivus Inc. (VVUS) on Tuesday reported a loss of $5.9 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Campbell, California-based company said it had a loss of 56 cents.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $18.4 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $3.36. A year ago, they were trading at $6.55.
