CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) _ Voyager Therapeutics Inc. (VYGR) on Tuesday reported a loss of $12.6 million in its fourth quarter.
The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 34 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 81 cents per share.
The gene therapy company posted revenue of $32.7 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $9.3 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $43.6 million, or $1.21 per share. Revenue was reported as $104.4 million.
Voyager Therapeutics shares have declined 17% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $11.58, a fall of 36% in the last 12 months.
