W&T: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

HOUSTON (AP) _ W&T Offshore Inc. (WTI) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $46.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had profit of 32 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 30 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 24 cents per share.

The independent oil and gas company posted revenue of $153.5 million in the period.

W&T shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.79, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
