TWST: Within your coverage, what are some of the names you like?

Mr. Milsaps: Western Alliance (WAL) is the name I upgraded coming out of fourth-quarter earnings. They are based in Phoenix, Arizona, and they have locations in California as well as Nevada. This is a company that continues to grow its loans at a high-teen pace and almost entirely focused on commercial banking in those regions. I think it's a play on continued recovery in California and Arizona.

Also, as I mentioned, there are a lot of banks in California that could potentially be acquisition targets, so I think Western Alliance is well-positioned to potentially buy some of those smaller community banks. In areas where we see community banks being sold, they should be able to create some nice accretion from these deals.

Mr. Milsaps: In the upper Pacific area, I like Glacier Bancorp (GBCI). They are based in Montana...
