Over the last few years, Paramount has garnered a reputation for allowing new movies to play in theaters for at least 45 days before debuting them on their premiere streaming platform. Though many speculated that Top Gun: Maverick would land on Paramount+ in early July, it officially flew onto the site in December 2022.
