Warren Buffett recalls the craziest question ever asked at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting

More than 40,000 people are expected to descend on Omaha, Nebraska, this weekend to take part in Berkshire Hathaway’s (BRK-A, BRK-B) annual shareholder meeting.

One of the big draws of the event is that attendees get to directly interact with Berkshire Hathaway Chairman and CEO Warren Buffett. Aside from participating in events like the annual newspaper toss and dinner at Gorat's Steak House, the billionaire investor spends hours answering questions from admirers and investors alike with Vice Chairman Charlie Munger by his side.

While many questions center on recent investment decisions, Berkshire’s track record of success, and the company’s future, Buffett and Munger can usually count on at least one surprising and odd question from the crowd. After years of being asked countless questions, Warren Buffett shared the craziest question he has ever been asked with Yahoo Finance editor-in-chief Andy Serwer.

“We get questions like, ‘Do you believe in Jesus Christ?’ I was tempted to give a wise guy answer,” said Buffett with a chuckle. “I won't even tell you what my first reaction was because I had enough sense not to say it then… I told the crowd I'm an agnostic.”

As far as what’s permitted and what’s not, Buffett told Yahoo Finance that he and Munger try to answer everything. Aside from what Berkshire Hathaway is buying or selling, "nothing is off limits."

On April 30, Yahoo Finance will live stream the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting exclusively. You can find out more information here.
