Watch BTS Sing “ON,” Bruno Mars, Post Malone, and More on “Carpool Karaoke”

Following their grand performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, BTS have finally taken their turn on the popular “Carpool Karaoke” segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of the BTS episode ever since the group appeared on the program back in January to perform “Black Swan” and, on February 25, CBS finally delivered.

The 17-minute episode segment follows the septet and host James Corden as they take a leisurely “drive” through L.A. They kicked things off singing along to “Mic Drop,” the Steve Aoki remix to be exact. The group also rocks out to “Black Swan” and “ON,” some of Bangtan’s newest songs from Map of the Soul: 7, and, despite the casual setting, the guys still belted out some serious tunes and ad-libs (yes, Jungkook, we’re looking at you.)

As is tradition on “Carpool Karaoke,” BTS also took the time to cover songs from other artists. But, if especially after that Grammys performance, you were expecting them to perform another OT7 version of “Old Town Road,” you’ll be disappointed. Instead, the guys favored Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Finesse” and Post Malone’s “Circles.”

Apart from singing galore, the members and James also shared some hilariously heartwarming moments — from clapping along to the Friends’ theme song (fitting now that the reunion has been announced) to discussing fan-given nicknames. In the process, Jimin also coined James’s new official nickname: Papa Mochi. And you know it is official because The Late Late Show changed its name on Twitter to The Late Late Show with PAPA MOCHI⁷ (tiny seven included).

We also got our daily dose of chaotic Bangtan energy from Suga and Jin, who provided their own sub-commentary from the backseat throughout the episode. The high energy segment was rounded off by a hilarious dance lesson courtesy of Jimin, and you can watch the whole thing below:
